And now let us welcome the New Year full of things that have never been. —Rainer Maria Rilke

Remember To Keep It Green

New Year 2011. A time for new beginnings comes with the promise of a child filled with wonder, energy, unrealized dreams, and love…

But… “before we can welcome in the New Year, we need to put the Old Year’s unfinished business— mistakes, shortcomings, and disappointments behind us…toss the bad memories from the past into the trash where they belong. Keep only the good.” —Sarah Ban Breathnach,  Simple Abundance.

Letting the bad vibes out…

Write the person’s name, and start speed writing (illegible, phonetic) to list:

All  you can think of: attitudes, hurts, blame, shame, and anger out on the page, uncensored.

Under your list write:

I release this with love,

And sign your name.

Read it aloud, where no one can hear.

Then say aloud, I release this with love.

Burn it.

Use a fireplace, sink, bucket, grill, stones on the beach, a hole in the sand— burn it.

Throughout the years I have used this technique I originally learned from David Viscott M.D., in his book, Letting Go Of The Past To Live In The Moment.

I burn much more often than New Year’s Eve!

So step aside Father Time and welcome Baby! “Light The Fire.” Detach.

Begin again.”Step into the field of all possibilities and experience all the fun, adventure, magic, and mystery of life.”  Deepak Chopra.

“The only thing that stands between a man and what he wants from life is often merely the will to try it and the faith to believe that it is possible.” David Viscott, M.D.

My New Year’s

wish for you

is that you make

your dreams come true!

  1. Love it! This is great healthy way to process your feelings. Much more efficient then therapy. Thanks for teaching me,it works!
Be careful not to get burned, (or set off the fire alarm) and mindful that although you have forgiven and moved forward, others have their own pace or timing…
Peace and good health in the New Year and always!

  2. I have a good feeling about this new year!! I’m going to burn and make room for more joy! I feel so blessed and wishing everyone a wonderful new year!! XOXO

  3. Adagio, your collection of quotes coupled with your personal words inspire me. Thanks for the uplifting vision. Love to you and your family. p.s. Cute baby, Baby!
