Eye Popping Popcorn On The Cob

Pop Goes The Corn

The Green City Farmer’s Market in Chicago is full of surprises in early Spring…things I don’t notice other times of the year, when the colorful fruits and vegetables capture my eye and imagination.

Popcorn on the cob?

My young audience was incredulous. In the microwave?

The hardest part is harnessing our impatience. The aroma extends the taste.

Each microwave is different. Try anywhere from one-and-a-half minutes to two?

We returned the half-popped cob to the bag, put it back into the microwave and listened to the pops… while we ate the first batch.

  1. As complicated as things may appear, sometimes keeping it simple really is best. Fresh eyes face the same challenges ever present and as much as things change, so much remains the same. Keep it real and true and it will remain for generations to come. Great photos and gorgeous kids!
